One of the biggest flaws I see in the world of stand-up comedy is that most comedians are convinced that talent alone will propel them into fame and fortune—even if they aren’t very talented.
In the US, we live in a society of people with their hand out and with an attitude of entitlement.
Somewhere along the way, it has become acceptable to think that if a person does anything long enough—even if they suck—that they are entitled to “the big score”. That seems to include aspiring comedians as well.
